Club Atletico Mitre is an argentinian football team, located in Santiago del Estero province. The club was founded in 1907 and since season 2007/2008, is playing in Primera Nacional, the Second Division in Argentina.
The name of the club is in honor of general Bartolomé Mitre and the colours black and yellow are in honor of Peñarol team. Over the years, Club Atlético Mitre won prestige and fans in north Argentina. This status made the team play with biggers teams, such as: River Plate and Boca Juniors.
